Build. Scale. Teach: Architecting and Scaling a Production-Ready Modern Course Platform with Next.js

Abstract

Building a course platform that feels seamless for thousands of learners is a very different challenge from building a demo app. In this talk, I’ll share the architectural decisions, lessons, and trade-offs behind creating a fully custom, production-ready learning platform powered by Next.js.

We’ll explore how Server First Cache First model, and how caching strategies made it possible to deliver 350+ lessons with fast and consistent performance, while balancing scalability, developer experience, and real-world constraints like authentication, payments, and analytics. The lessons shared extend to any content-heavy platform aiming for speed, reliability, and scale with Next.js.
